  • Jackson 22 fret soloists.

I bought this off a member a few years ago. It looks like a SL3 but with 22 frets.

I know from owning many Jackson and charvels it's a MIJ
it's sorta a violin trans maple cap on body and head stock.
I believe it's an SL 4 which was only made for a short time or limited run?
I'd like to know what the wood is?

I've had an account on here for many years under John.w. lawson

They're listed as alder in the '01 catalogue. They were only made a year or two and the first 2 digits of the serial are the year.
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

      First two are 00
yeah, that what I was told by a guy on Facebook( that it was alder) he thought. That catalogue has the pic right but in the info, says 24 fret three pickups they just have two humbuckers and 22 frets. At least they got the picture right lol.
