  • Help identifying my first Jackson

    Hi

Just wondering if someone can help identify this for me. I've looked through the old catalogues but cant seem to find a match.

The serial # is 9685748. It's a crimson red type colour with Jackson H H, bolt-on neck, Jackson Floyd Rose (chrome), 23 frets, reverse headstock, fret board dots.

Any info would be much appreciated

    Cheers

You're welcome. Your guitar is a Japanese (2000-2003) JS30 Dinky, Dark Metallic Red finish. https://guitarinside.com/Jackson_Dinky_JS30

Thanks for that! Your detective work is better than mine.

Bit gutted as I was hoping it was a Fusion and not an entry level Jackson.

I'm picking it up in a couple days - paid £125.....do you think it's a good deal?

Even though it's an entry-level guitar, it's £125 for a Japanese Jackson. I feel that that's fair especially since UK prices are quite high relative to North America.

More importantly, does it play well? Does it sound good? Do you envision yourself enjoying it? If yes to any/all of those three, then the guitar is a worthwhile purchase.

If you don't want it, do you have the option to cancel the transaction and obtain a full refund?

I havent collected it yet. But to be honest I still envisage myself enjoying it....I think I will love it. Like you say, £125 for a Japanese Jackson....what's not to love!

I've always wanted a Jackson since about 1990 so I'm happy.

Just glad it isnt an Indian one.
