  • Verb listing for 90 Warrior Pro Professional

So you guys have seen me post several times...Where is my Warrior Pro Professional..
They do not pop up often we know that. Seen this listing and it fit the bill 100%. But the price is insanely priced. $3200 not negotiable!
Look back at old Verb listings ones in same condition going for $1400 tops some even $1000

For that kind of money $3200 I could have Mike Shannon build me the same piece. Slanted fretboard and all.
Hope the seller gets what he is looking for it. But damn its not a Diablo or anything lol

The only way I have been able to find a few is to google something like: "Jackson professional reverb" or "Charvel 750xl reverb". Usually that nets 2-5 old listings. Otherwise I've not had any success. They have analytics on the website but I find it WAY too hard to use, you have to be extremely specific in your search and be logged in with an account.

        Yep
        Google
Type in make and model and you will see a few old listings. Some I have seen are pretty old.

Yeah, he's gonna need tons of luck with that crackhead price.

Hahaha, this is great. Folks really go off the deep end with these Professional Pros sometimes. They're great guitars, but they are not insanely valuable and should never cost more than a comparable USA model. The Warrior Pros in particular are a bit rarer than the rest but still probably worth around $1000-1100ish used. Here's one that sold a few years ago for under 1K: https://reverb.com/item/513566-jacks...ve-electronics

I've been looking for a Kelly Professional Pro for about a year now, and any time one pops up people seem to want STUPID prices for it and they sit forever. One dude has had one up on Reverb for about 1.5 years for $1700 with a bunch of dings and large dents (and he removed the tone knob): https://reverb.com/item/5764296-jack...ple-sparkle-94

I can get a mint USA Kelly for way less than that. The whole draw of the Professional Pros when they came out and now is that they offer most of the same specs and build quality as the USA models at a lower price...I had a whole conversation with him and mentioned that these usually sell around $800-$900 depending on condition but he is certain that it's worth what he's asking and "will continue to increase in value over time" (it really won't). In further conversation I learned that he apparently got the frets worked on and is expecting the new owner to pay him back all the money he spent to do that, plus all the money he spent to put EMGs in it.

A lot of folks just don't understand market value, and these are often the same people who complain that their guitars aren't selling .

To search Reverb for sold/completed, first go to reverb and in their search bar type in the item you are interested in. Once that page opens (showing any currently for sale items), go up into the url/https bar and add &showsold=true To the end of the long url address and then hit enter.

example: search for Panama Inferno amp:
                  https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=panama%20inferno

                  now sold/completed:
                  https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=panama%20inferno&showsold=true

Sorry about the dark font. It says to add
                    &showsold=true
at the end of the search url

Brilliant! Thanks! Adding that to my arsenal of search skills.

Another method is using Google. In the search bar, enter site:reverb.com and then the keyword(s) (guitar model) I want to search. For example:

site:reverb.com jackson sl2h which will retrieve results from reverb.com only.

It works for other sites too, of course. Sometimes if the JCF search function doesn't show me what I wanted to find, I'll try Google:

                        site:jcfonline.com keyword

Sometimes Google retrieves sold/ended listings that even Reverb "forgot". I find that it casts a very wide net, which may have its pros and cons depending on your searching style and what you want to find. As an example, an Ibanez J.Custom RG1702 was recently listed locally. I wanted to do some pricing research. The Reverb URL technique showed me four results. The Google technique showed me more results, but it was a mixed bag consisting of the RG1702 but also a bunch of listings for very similar J.Custom guitars ("comparables", which may be useful depending on your perspective).

Yep, that's the one. The best part is he previously had it up on Reverb for $850 back in 2015 or so (which is closer to a fair price, though still kinda high given the condition) and I sent him the link asking why he suddenly decided the guitar is worth nearly $1000 more 3 years later.

He replied and said that the price increase was because he replaced the original pickups with the EMGs (EMG set is worth like $100 used) and had the frets dressed (cost even in NYC where everything is super expensive = $150-ish).

                              Conclusion: definitely nuts
