Looks like a basswood body, so it should be a Stealth EX. It's a nice Japanese guitar. I'd guesstimate value could be maybe up to $500 or so with case, but it has been stripped of its paint.

        It's a '91 serial.
$3-500 ballpark for good to mint would be my range.
        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

According to Henrik's site https://web.archive.org/web/20180831...ofessional.php the Stealth series debuted in 1992, but it would not throw me for a loop if a 1991 serial numbered guitar were made in 1991 and finally released in 1992. Because, logically, a guitar needs time to be made before it is released.

Natural basswood is very plain at best, and unattractive at worst. This is why you don't see many transparent or natural finished basswood-bodied guitars; they are mostly solid-finished to cover up the plain-to-ugly basswood. I might not mind as much if it was an ash-bodied Stealth XL stripped of its finish, because natural ash at least has an attractive grain. But a basswood Stealth EX stripped of its original solid-color factory finish warrants your aggressive negotiation of the price. I'd entertain Mudlark's stated prices if the original finish was left intact, but because it's stripped basswood I would haggle lower than that.

I've seen Stealth EXs sell for $250-300 regularly in great shape with case, so I definitely wouldn't pay over $200ish for this stripped one. Definitely not worth anywhere near $500...you can get a way higher end model MIJ Jackson at that price.

I wouldn't pay $500 for this one either, but $500 for a mint guitar from that era wouldn't faze me a bit.
