My DKMG gets buildup up towards the headstock and the heel. When she’s feeling sticky, I just clean it with whatever I have, usually just a damp towel & elbow grease. I do a lot of playing so the gunk builds; it sometimes appears the lacquer is coming off when I’m cleaning, but it’s really just guk. You know the same guk that builds on a steering wheel.
BTY if you’re going to use scotchbrite, use the grey color as it’s finer, then switch to green if its not roughed up enoughComment
