The only difference I saw between them was the 170 had better figured top options (quilted, and I think rear-routed). Otherwise, they were the same.
When they changed to the Jx designation, the J1 had a flametop option but J2 only had solid colors. Both could be had with either stopbar/tom, Kahler, or Schaller.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Is that the mahogany one?
They made the Stars in both alder and mahogany. Never understood them having a production option like that when we NEVER got one here in the Pro's or Select range.
