  • Which trem is on my DKMG?

Hi,can anyone tell me which trem is on my '03 DKMG,as far as I'm aware its the original unit.
Also am looking to upgrade the Pups to something with more oomph, want to stick with passive ones tho,was thinking of going down the Seymour Duncan route,it currently has the Hz's,any help, advice, ideas would be most welcome

The trem should be a JT580LP

I dumped the Hz's in my DKMG for some active Seymour Duncan Blackouts. It's the only guitar I own with actives, and it screams. The Hz's sucked. I only did the active thing since I've got plenty of other gits with passives and wanted to try some actives and I don't care for EMG actives. I wouldn't want actives if I only owned one axe.

HZ's aren't bad at all IMO so don't bash too hard.
They have a sweet spot as far as height just find that and they sound great.
        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Oh you must post a picture of that!

+1 for the HZ's. I have them in a DXMG and they sound good enough to keep.

Cheers fer the info n input, dont get me wrong, the Hz's do make some nice noises, and have excellent clarity, but I have a Cort Matt Murphy sig with Mighty Mites on it,n that rocks harder than the Jackson, can't be havin that!
