My First Charvel!

She's a 3DR!



My only problem with her is that one of the posts can be removed easily when i removed the bridge for cleaning. by the way, can anyone:

1) tell me if this is indeed a JT-6 and teach my how to set it up

2) if i were to change it, would a floyd just pop in based on the pics?
or if i were to put another kind of bridge, what kind?

3) its so annoying that at low action, everything plays but my 4th string doesnt and buzzes at the 17th going up. but i had to raise everything into medium action just so the ugly 4th wont buzz :o

4) the back of the neck feels kinda... like rubber to the thumb.. gets a ton of friction and moving fast is hard, but the fretboard feels great! Im gonna look for more charvels!

Congrats on the Charvel! And yes, that is a JT-6. I just messed around with spring tension, claw, etc on mine and my buddies Model 3s to get it "set-up". I, personally, do not want to mess with truss rod, but that is another option.

For around $50 to $75, you could find a good luthier in your area to set it up right. Also, there are members on here more versed on setting up Floyds than I am, so hopefully they will chime in.
