  • Refinished Model 2 eye candy

Just got this back from Paul at Big Head Guitars. I have to say he did a great job with the finish on this one. Since I couldn't shell out the big bucks for a Jolly Roger, I had a poor man's one made.

Edited to fix picture links - 5/19/2018

I killed my Photobucket account last year, so I figured I'd post current pictures of it. I still have this one. I've sold most of my other guitars, and rarely play anymore. I still pick this one up once in a blue moon as it has nice tone even when it's unplugged.

I've noticed that Big Head Guitar's website is gone, and I don't see any sign he's in business anymore. It's a shame because I still feel he did a solid job for the money I spent. I just realized I've changed jobs three times, and live in a different home since this guitar was done. Time sure flies when you aren't looking.

Is that neck a re-pro or legit? Either way it looks awesome!

It's a repro neck. It was on a guitar I bought on eBay. I even wrote replica neck in magic marker on the neck heel so it isn't passed off as legit. It's supposed to be a Musikraft, but I don't know as there are no markings on the neck heel.

It's an unfinished oiled neck that has a pretty thin profile that feels real close to my Fusion neck.

Thanks for the kind words and compliments all.

I love how it turned out, but I'm also a little sad that it's not a Model 2 any more.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

                        Nice one! Really looks great!

How did they clear coat turn out? He never levels mine. I ended up re-wet sanding and polishing the finish to get it to a "factory" job. The one before I re-cleared my self and buffed it out.
