the other thing to consider - they originally came with a jt-6, which weren't recessed.

Its recessed as all toothpaste logo'd charvels are and it's a 275 as you stated.

That depends on what counts as recessed. The trem on my 650XL is top mounted with a pull up route.

Were any JT-6 guitars recessed or pull-up routed?

charvel 3dr was, I'm pretty sure all toothpaste logo's had jt-590's

It appears the 650XL was only routed for pull up but did have a 590 trem seems a waste

bummer. I've never like them double singles. charvel wasn't cheap when it came to handing out the JT-590's I had one on a fusion deluxe and it was just a solid color.

Towards the end of the run, they seemed to put a bunch of different parts on these 275's. The last one I picked up had the BL dual blade in the bridge, not the two singles together. It also had the Takeuchi on it recessed. I had to put new posts and inserts in it, but the knife edges were good on the trem. I took it apart several times and the neck and pocket had 275D stamped in it. I picked it up for 200 bucks off GC used and fixed it up and gave it to a friend. I have gone through a few of them over the years. The later/last year seem to be put together with a combination of whatever they had left to put on them.
