I've been registered for a wile but haven't posted until now. I have a handful of Charvel's and a few other brands. Am into all types of metal & viscous high gain heavy Blues. I know my stuff when it comes to Charvel's, but get lost in all the Jackson models. I also know just about anything you want to know about Carvin gear. My main amp is a 96 Carvin VM100.

Hope to be of help & shred till your dead.

The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
    I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
    And rock that sucker.

    Nice Carvins there.
I just sold my 88 Carvin X100B 1/2 stack to a bud and he loves it.
Nice model 88 Charvel what serial number is it?I have #299.
Never have seen a model series Charvel with the Kahler spyder trem and you have two.Maybe a retrofit they either had the Kahler fulcrum or JT-6 trems.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

          The 88 is #81.

The Model 2 & 3 had Kahler 2500s. I pulled them & put 2710s on. Same stud spacing.

If you have an 86 with the kahler 2500, I highly recommend changing to a 2710. Direct replacement locker. Individual saddle height adjustments, adjustable string spacing & Tool less string change. You don't even have to clip the balls off the strings. Way better fine tuners that actually work. They go for about $50 to $75 used on thebay.

Killer upgrade. well worth the price.

The Greenburst has Carvin C22s, The V220 on the left has Carvin M22s, & the right V220 has EMG-KFK.
                    The M22s are Killer!

How does the tone and neck of the Models compare with your Carvins?

The Greenburst 127 has Alder neck & body. Super lite weight. The neck profile is a little thicker then a Model neck, but not by much. Jumbo's, 14" radius. 25" scale. It is a little darker sounding than the models. Very resonant & has great sustain for a Floyd Axe. The C22s in it are Carvin's do it all pickups. I bought it for versatility.

The hard tail 84 V220 is an amazing metal Axe. Maple set neck, Maple body, Ebony board, Junbo's, Schaller with brass saddles, & brass nut. Sustain monster. It will cut through any mix. The neck on it looks much thicker than a Model, but serious fast & totally comfortable to me. It has an M22SD at the bridge & an M22 at the neck. I prefer these over any pickup for metal. Period. It is my #1 hard tail Metal Axe.

The V220 with the Kahler had the EMGs in it when I bought it. I plan to put M22s back in. If I don't sell it.

My main Trem Axe is the 86 Model 3 right now. Its set up sweet.
                        12-16 radius!

Back of the 127 & a very rare 88 ST.

Nice collection. I've got an 88/89 DC125 that a former JCF member (RIP Donny ) stripped and threw a Jackson logo on. Also have a MTS3200 head, which I love. I'd kill for a V220.
