I don't know if any JCF'ers are Michael Kelly fans, but I got the chance to try a hybrid today.
Truth be told, it sounded pretty good. The piezo in the bridge added just enough sparkle to the sound and the ability to mix the electric and accoustic sounds were spot on.
I didn't pick it up although I was fully ready to. Here's why:
The fit and finish were horrible.
I know it's a MIK 500.00 guitar but I would expect a few minimum things to be in order.
1. There was paint streaks under the clear where the neck meets the body.
2. There were glops of clear finish on the side of the f holes.
3. The wood carved out for the f holes was left splintery and looking ragged.
I hope that this 1 was just a dog.
Anybody else try one?
