Picked this up on Facebook last week for around $30. She plays pretty well...

Is that a proper non-fine tuner Floyd on there?
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

It is. A non-fine tuner Original Floyd Rose.

This is basically a Japanese-made ESP guitar for $30. What a steal!

For the sake of easier tuning and familiarity, I put a fine tuner Floyd on her and put the OFR in the case for safe keeping

Wow... $30? If that was a strathead in the exact same config it would have been like $1k. lol

                  Great score!

Looks great with the fine-tuning Floyd! Thanks for the closeup. I'm guessing that's a DiMarzio pickup in the bridge position. Do you know what model it is? It should be inscribed on the bottom of the pickup baseplate.

The bottom of the pickup has no markings. They look like DiMarzio (some say the D in 3000D is for DiMarzio, but others say that’s urban legend), but I’ve heard Schaller, Matsumoku, ESP, as well as DiMarzio. I have no idea, but they sound good, so they’ll stay

Thanks. This thing is growing on me. Gave her a proper set up, dropped the bridge pickup a few mm and voila, more clarity and better tone. The neck in this feels very nice. Not as slim as my Charvel or Jacksons, but not overly beefy either...just a decent feeling neck. I find myself plucking this old gal up quite often these past few nights...
