Knowing the Ibanez Korean guitars are made by cort explains a lot. I believe the owner of Cort shut down production in Korea and moved to Indonesia. I always thought the move was to make the guitars cheaper(on Ibanez's side) .
This is correct. Cort was getting hammered for horrendous labor conditions/practices in Korea so their response was to close the shop in Korea and move to Indonesia where labor conditions are even worse.
