  • Happy Belated NGD - Ibanez/Gibson content...

Picked up a couple guitars recently!

BEAUTY is a Les Paul Standard Plus from a trade over on RT:

...and a killer extended scale Ibanez RGD2120Z. Thing is "used" but you'd never know, and play sooooo nice! Crunch Lab/Liquifire pickups. I have it tuned to D, and may go lower...we'll see.

If I told you the Les Paul had an Aldrich in the bridge and is tuned down a half-step, could I get a half- ?

It's fun to play! The trem system on these is truly remarkable. One of the nicest I've played.

                      That Ibanez looks dangerous!

both very cool, Chris. The Gibson is hotness. How do you find the extended scale on the Ib?

I notice it a little, but not enough to impede my horse-shit playing. After a little warming up, it feels "normal" to me, and that's after coming from an LP. The thin profile of the neck helps to take that edge off as well. I also have a 7-string, so I have a pretty wide array of necks. I've never been one of those guys where scale length really caused me issues; my issues have always been more with profile.
