  • Jackson Solidbody Acoustic Guitar Made in USA?

I've recently acquired a Jackson solidbody acoustic, which appears to be from the mid 80's. I've never seen any Jackson guitar quite like this one, and I was wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light on it's origins. I'm new with JCF, and have pictures of the guitar, but can only see where I can insert pictures via a URL.

Looks pretty unusual to me, might be one of the few - nice catch!

Reminds me of a solidbody nylon string acoustic I've seen from another manufacturer. Had a soundhole and traditional slotted headstock. For some reason, I thought it was a Chet Atkins model

hey, here's one! it is a Chet model. A Gibson:

Maybe someone was inspired by it and had Jackson build one.

Hmm. Could be a legit one off. But I'm thinking not likely. To my eyes, there are too many things that seem un-Jackson-like in its build. More likely, i'd bet that's someone's home creation, with an after-market Jackson logo on it. Kind of cool either way, though.

Yeah, I agree with Pat. For starters I can't believe Jackson would have a headstock face showing 4 pieces of wood..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

The headstock makes me think of early 80s Vantage...........

To me, it almost looks like a modded Takemine, or worse yet, a modded knock off Takemine…..with a Jackson logo.

I’m by no means a Jackson expert like many of the dudes here, but I can’t believe that’s a Jackson.

If it is real its fukin cool
