  • Locking Tuners on FR Guitar

    Hey Everyone,

Getting a few expert opinions here....

I prefer locking tuners only for the ease of use, not the tuning stability. Thus, I try to use them on all my guitars. Do you think using them with a Floyd Rose installed guitar, especially a Jackson -- with an angled headstock -- puts too much stress on that area, leading to neck breakages? I've heard that, and I want to know if anyone has had that experience.

    Thank You!

unless you tighten the strings more after locking the nut, there should be no difference with locking tuners. seems silly to me but if you like it do it. I know some frown here, but I string the ball ends through the tuner keys, it doesn't get much easier than that.

Thanks. Yeah, it's redundant, I get it. But those are good points. Thank you.
