Jackson SLX4 Pick Guard Removal

Hi everyone,

New here Having a break from Facebook so rather than joining a group there I thought I'd see what forums came up for Jackson and well here I am!

I don't own anything vintage or fancy, I've just purchased a Jackson SL4X and love it! It's been in the workshop for a bit now getting a proper set up, hybrid strings and some work on the fretboard. I was just wondering though the only thing I'm not 100% sold on is the pick guard. I know that's the style of the guitar and it's based on the original etc, but just wondering if its possible/easy to remove it?

i cant tell you about the soloist but i have a charvel spectrum that i bought used without a pickguard...the charvel is rear routed so the pickguard is basically for looks but i had another made for mine as i didnt like the open screw holes and i got accustomed to the guard...d.m.
