what's the difference between the SD3 and SD4? I see a few of them in the gallery and they look the same to me.
what's the neck shape comparable to on these?

SD4 has a bound curly maple slab top

Thanks.. I've owned that one since it was new

as far as the neck profile on mine.. it's a 1 5/8 nut, thin neck. I can't compare to anything jackson or charvel I already have ..it's a nice neck and probable one of my favorite.. The funny thing is that no matter how clear an indoor picture I take I've never been able to bring the true depth of the quilt out in the guitar ..

Charvel did make a ltd run for Sam Ash called the SP-1 (special project)- just like SD reissue Traditionals - solid colors, r/w and maple boards, 22 fret, alder body, but with a h/s/s config and a wilky and were around $550 new.

Those magenta colors are very hard to photograph, that top picture is one of the best I've seen of that color. Nice pic!

Maybe this was what I played in Sam Ash? I could have bet my life that it was an oil finished top like the San Dimas I or II.
