Cool thread. Maybe I missed it, but what's the scoop on the leopard Charvel? IIRC, isn't it one of the others with the faux-fur added?

Bill, I believe the leopard spot was on the first batch of guitars Gary received from Charvel. He used it for a certain period of time, say late '84 to '85. I believe it is covered in faux fur and it isn't a graphic

Here is a cover from a DVD bootleg showing the white Strathead Charvel with replacement Jackson neck and Gary with his white Jackson Soloist:

Well, it's not like you can throw it in the wash after sweating all over it.

A European member posted pics of his Custom Shop white Gary Moore Charvel tribute. He plans to place an EMG81 in it. I have to call the obvious incorrect features:
R2 nut should be black anodized
The knurled stack pole volume knob is fine for the red version, but the correct one for the original would be a white Strat knob.
Not enough pick guard screws, needs eleven to match the original otherwise it is very tasty, also no trem cover on the original. Nice job though:

This one is from Squid and Curt, super job How long did the order take?? How much if you can say??

Very cool thread. I have an blue '86 s-head 3s white pick guard factory Floyd that could be the red one's cousin based on pic of what I assume is the original config. One of my favorite playing guitars actually.

                            A little OT

Hey emerald.. You probably know the answer t o this..

What is the correct color "white" for the other fender Strat Gary played during the 80's ( besides his normal fiesta red one)
Hard to tell from the few pictures I've seen.. Could be Olympic ..could be Cream?

That was an off the rack cream white (vintage white) 1962 Reissue....Gary bought that guitar when his "fiesta red" strat was breifly "lost" by an airline!!

Love his one hum matching headstock Charvel with the pickguard. If it had ebony, I think I'd die....
