  • Grabbed a Wampler SLOstortion today

First impressions are it sounds pretty good, gives a real nice buttery SLO like lead tone. Build quality is great, and it should be for a $250 distortion pedal! The LED's are retina burning bright though, which for me is a negative but thats nothing some scotch tape and a black sharpie can't fix.

So far I've been wrestling with the treble end of things. If I turn my amp's bright switch on, it gets a little ice-pickey. With the bright switch off it seems to lack a little bit of sizzle that my amps clean channel treble control doesn't bring back well.

Here's a demo I dug up on youtube that gives a pretty good example of what the pedal can do. ( Note : This is not me, I don't have a bad lid, I'm bald. )
