Emg x?

So, has anyone tried any of the EMG X pickups? Are they more like the Blackouts or the EMG HZ's?

Sounds to me like it's aimed right at the Seymour Duncan AHB-1 and AHB-2 pickups.
More gain and more orgainc sounding, just like the Blackouts.
Hmmmm, I might have to grab one of these puppies!

There's an '81, '85, and '60X available!
I wonder if they are compatible with an 18v mod? I'd imagine that the preamp is going to be similar to the standard models, so I'm willing to bet that they are capable of handling up to 27v just like the originals.

Seymour duncan blackouts are quickly becoming more and more popular so EMG had to do something to fight back ..... EMG X its basically their version of the blackouts , they are brand new and are just starting to ship out now.

That's good news, because the Duncans should drop in price making it easier for people to change from passives to actives.
