  • Routing a 3 tite for a humbucker

Is it possible to rout this body for a bridge humbucker and have it properly located and completely covered by the pickup ring? I dont want to have to re-finish anything. Im thinking of picking it up for my emg project.

Got a humbucker ring you can slap over it to test it? You may be able to make it work, although you may need an oversized ring.

I dont have the body yet so I cant test it with a ring. Ive seen people rout out a neck single for a humbucker with no issues. And I think Ive heard of people routing out that double single coil thing that some charvels have. If I do get it, it will probably be more like Dreeeeeemmmmmeeeeellllllllllll!

Carbuff. you're most likely okay, but the existing routs look a little wide to me, so worst case scenario, I'd get an oversized ring on there.
