  • SL2H tone and volume pot values

I just received an SL2H on trade and I want to make sure the pot values are correct (cause it needs to be rewired, previous owner did a shoddy job). Is the tone pot a 250K or a 500K originally?

        NOT!

        250K in my 2005 SL2H.

I just this week pulled it out for a 500K push/pull to split the JB. I don't notice a difference between the 250K and 500K tone.

I couldn't figure out the Volume. It is unmarked.

          HMMMMMMM anyone else confirm this?
I do remember one of my RR1Ts had 250K tone pots.

Whatever you want. 500k will make things a little brighter than 250k.

Just remember that two 500K pots in parallel give you an apparent 250K resistance. So if you're removing the tone pot, you'll want to replace the 500K volume with a 250K volume to maintain the same tone.

              A 500K and a 250K would give you 167K.

I know you're not removing the tone, just doing a stream of consciousness thing.
