  • Wiring of Bill Lawrence L500L?

The wire colors are red, green, white, black, and a greyish blue. Just straight up wiring. No coil tap. Thanks in advance.

never mind.white is hot, black is ground, blue is to be grounded elsewhere, not touching the black or other grounds! or you will get a weak signal.red/green wrapped and taped.wired and working great this way....j

FYI I ground the black to vol and blue to the tone, but made sure it was not touching other grounds. no humming at all...and it rocks. thanks for a good trade jdr94

That was my old pickup, and it was a good one for sure.
Nice and clear, yet chunky and well defined. If you need a hotter one, try the L500XL sometime.
