  • Locking Bolts on Jackson locking Tremolo Guitar Question.

    Hello,
I've recently got a new Jackson guitar. It's the DKMG model.
I once heard that the locking nuts on the guitar must be placed in a specific order. I always thought that each locking nut was the same and could be placed in whatever order to hold down the strings.

Is it really an important issue, how do I know which one goes where?

    -Thanks

You were given wrong information. Each locking nut pad is the same and they don't need to be in a specific order.

Sometimes the Low E and A pad will have grooves in them from years of use, and I try to keep them in the same place.

Turning the locking clamp plates in the right direction is also worth giving some attention - linkydinky
