  • Reverse Strathead - Will RH tuners fit

Maybe a stupid question to some but will right handed tuners fit on a reverse strathead neck?

    Thanks

    No, you need lh tuners.

And don't forget, there are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Hmmm, I have some really old Charvel logo Gotoh tuners that I was going to use on the upcoming project, maybe have to get a standard neck now or spend even more money.

      Thanks for that.

I've used righties on lefties, and lefties on righties before
        When that's all I had

Mostly, it looks silly... but it does work

Don't drill the little holes for the backside screws, just snug 'em down and they'll be fine

I wouldn't use Bass tuners on a regular guitar though

        or maybe I would?

Wouldn't the tuning keys be behind the headstock?

Nope, just on the other side of the post, that's all.

It can be done but you will probably break the gears sooner or later, meaning that it's best to buy a set of correct tuners instead of replacing them at a later date. Also you will have to redrill when you put the correct tuners in so I don't think it's worth the hassle.

The Fenders I just put on my strat didn't have screws, just a small nipple that goes in the hole. I'd think you could drill new holes for the nipples, and the old holes would be covered by the tuners and not visible. Could be wrong.
