  • Looking for wire diagram with no tone pots

    Hey all...

I need to find a wireing diagram to wire up a 3-way switch a ToneZone and Air Norton that has 2 volume pots with NO tone pots. Been to Dimarzio's website but havn't seen any diagrams like this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

    Thanks

Here's the Duncan diagram. Just change the colors accordingly for DiMarzios:

    http://www.seymourduncan.com/support...matic=2h_2v_3w

The colors for the DiMarzios will be black & white soldered together, red is hot, green & bare to ground.

2 volumes and no Tone indicates you're going for individual Volumes for each pickup, correct?

Try wiring both pickups to the switch, then the switch to one volume, then that volume to the next one. Play around with the position of the lug wires on the pots (use jumper clips) and see which combo you like best. I did a guitar that way and got a thin Stratty tone when rolling off one, but with the other knob it retained the full tone, just lessened the gain.

Yes, I was planning on having no tone controls at all.

I like your idea of using clips to fiure out what I like first.
