  • D-tuna

Has anyone on the forum used a D-tuna for Drop D tuning. I tried one out at a guitar shop on an EVH Art Series. Every time I pulled it out the tuning on the low E dropped but was slightly out of tune. I needed to fine tune every time. Is this the way the D-tuna is designed to work?

I had one for awhile, and it did not require fine-tuning every time. It worked pretty well.

I have noticed that guage thickness will caused varied response to the accuracy of getting on perfectly when dropping. I have to do a minor tune with mine. Doesnt bother me when I consider the alternatives.

My EVH works very well with 9's. MY CS Charvel with 10's that is a 1/2 step down requires a bit of fine tuning.
