Drop in tuner replacement

I'm looking to replace the stock tuners in my RR Concept, I've done some measurements and I believe that these GOTOH tuners should drop right in with no problems.

You're correct, those are direct replacements.

I checked Warmoth, and they have a better price. The SG38 tuners look to be the same as the ones offered on Stewmac. They should work as well, right? The specs aren't as detailed as on Stewmac.

Gotoh SG36 tuners are direct replacements. They have the Schaller style heads.
SG38's have a different head. They look more like Grovers.

popped the cherry

Last night I put dowels into the old screw holes and today I was able to install the tuners successfully. I took a small piece of the bamboo skewer I used for this project and marked off the exact length to get an exact piece of wood for each hole. I whittled each piece and glued it in with Gorilla Glue. I'm very pleased with how they came out, especially being the first time installing tuners. As it has already been mentioned in another current thread, I used the Guitar Reference book by Dan Earlewine.
