• I prevented a forgery from being built and sold on eBay

I know this guy who is always trying to make a shady buck. He asked me recently if I would be willing to refinish a USA Jackson Soloist for him if he were to strip it and get it ready for me. I said 'sure'. I go to his house this AM and I asked about the Jackson (as I was going to ask to buy it). He says "I can't get the damn paint off. Its taklen me a whole can of stripper to get what I did off" so he goes to get it and walks out with this JB Player neck through. I said "You said it was a Jackson" His response "Well, I bought a decal on eBay and was going to make it a Jackson". I ended up buying it from him just to prevent it from happening. I know most would not be fooled, but there are alot of newbies out there who don't know better.

    My hero!

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.

Ah man, always wanted one of those hard-to-find, extremely rare JB Jacksons. Oh well, maybe next time.

lol..I hear ya! I did buy it cheap and let him keep all the crappy hardware. I was almost thinking of refinsihing it into something for myself (not Jackson logo'ed either). Maybe do that color changing paint. I have always wanted to try that stuff on a guitar.
