I've had good luck with GFS pickups and products. For the price, they can't be beat. But for a little more money, you can usually get a good premium pickup used.

I know they have a good rep. I was just wondering if anyone has gotten their new "brown sound" pickup. To see how good that one is. Beats paying the SD custom shop price for an EVH.

The sound samples on their site sound pretty convincing and the Harmony Central reviews seem pretty good. I'd say go for it for the price. I'm thinking about trying their Hot Retrotron pups for a hotter twangy vibe.
