I thought Jeff Beck just played Fenders and Gibsons. Someone has to post it now.

No. Jeff's guitar did not have a reversed headstock, had a bound ebony neck, and was a Jackson.

Nope, I do believe the Spectrum borrowed a lot from the Beck Jackson pickguard...

JB's Jacksons were Soloist Customs with dot inlays. They were absolutely neckthroughs.
Here's a frame from the video and as you can see, it's a neckthrough Soloist, not a bolton..

Sorry My bad, I didnt realize Jeff's was a Jackson. Very cool. I couldnt get a close look at the details in that video, just recognized the pickgaurd shape & Color.

I wouldnt mind owning one of those Charvel Spectrums. cool guitar!

No harm, no foul! I just wish I had kept the Magazine that had this piece on the cover... I think it may have been Guitar for the Practicing Musician... but I'm not sure as it a long, long time ago.

I met a recording engineer who did a few recording sessions with JB and he told me the Orange Soloist was the guitar Beck used on "People Get Ready". Not a Tele which the video was shot with.

Just a bit of Jackson Trivia. Kinda runs contrary to those who claim Jacksons are only good for metal... a rediculous notion in truth.
