  • Gibson SG Direct Replacement Tuning Keys?

    Guys,

I picked up a beat 97 SG Standard. I've pretty much brought it back to life except for replacing the tuning keys.

I would like to put in some Grover or Schaller (modern style) tuners as I hate the Kluson style Gibson uses.

I'm trying to avoid drilling out the holes to make them bigger as I did this on my LP, and while I was able to do it - it wasnt worth the 2 hours and the grief (I was worried about screwing up).

So is there a direct replacement for the Klusons that I can just drop in w/o drilling? I dont even know what size the existing holes are now, 10mm? Just a guess.

    Any help is appreciated.

TonePros bought Kluson, so check with them.

I looked at them, but I dont like Kluson style tuners and want something along the lines of Grover or Schaller "rotomatic" type.
