  • Parts from JT-580 work on JT-6

I should have never robbed parts from the old trem(JT-6??) on my 94 Dinky XL but what's done is done and the Floyd Rose II I put in there just aint right. Wrong radius and will never be right, so it's time for the JT-6 to go back in I need a few string blocks and lock screws. Will the ones from a JT580 work in it ?

String blocks = no clue, I've never checked what sunder those "covers" where the string slides into though I assume those are the blocks. I have seen them subbed with standard style blocks, but I don't know for sure.

Lock Screws: Not that I know of. Wrong length and size I think.

Yea I'm pretty sure it would be a 590 now that you say that. No, you could nto use the lock bolts as the route is not made for it and there would be play in the saddle. Lock block should work though.

I think I am refering to the parts wrong. It's the square blocks that lock the string in and the allen screws that tighten it down on the trem itself.
