  • Will this work? - replacement saddles

Has anyone ever replaced a G string floyd saddle with a B saddle, or a B saddle with an E saddle? I am trying to lower the action on one of my guitars, but I get some string buzz on the high E when I get to a certain point. The E string action is ok, but the B and G feel a little high. I was wodering if I could swap those saddles out with ones a little lower to compensate. This is for DK1. I know there is a slight curve to the neck/fretboard, but I always felt my Jackson's fretboards were pretty flat, so I am wondering if it will make a difference? Am I off my rocker here? Looking for some good input, so let me know what you think.

    Thanks.

You could try saddle shims. You would have to lower the Floyd and experiment with saddle heights.
