well i'm very happy with my 475 but i have an issue with the mid boost thingy.. .. when the guitar is played thru the clean channel you can here the difference the preamp/tone circut makes but once you put it thru the dirty channel i cant make out any difference when twiddling the mid boost knob.

any ideas anyone?

If you have scooped mids on the dirty channel, you will be less likely to hear the mid-boost.
At least, that's what I've found.
