  • Pickup reccomendations?

    I have a Jackson KV2, a great guitar all in all. One thing I do not like, is the pickups. They are stock Seymour Duncans, JB TB-4's. The thing is, they sound too "floating" and un-focused. Plus, they don't really "sing" like I'd want them to do. I want a focused, kept together (not compressed though, like EMG's sound to me) and I'm thinking about picking up Dimarzios but I need some reccomendations.

    One of my favourite tones is that of Adrian Smith on the Iron Maiden DVD Death on the Road (listen to his solo at 6:12 and you'll get a decent idea of what I like;

        I'd suggest Super Distortion or X2N for the bridge, with a Super 2 in the neck.
