Questions. This is a grey area with my experience with racks. I'm getting a GCX Switcher to work with my Ground Control. The manuals don't mention the type of cables to use. Do I use instrument shielded cables or patch cables? Are patch cables unshielded or something else. I know speaker cables are unshielded and I use those from the power amps to the speaker cabs. To hook up everything in my rack (preamps and effects to amps, etc) I've been using patch cables. To power the Ground Control I'm using a 7 pin MIDI cable from my Mesa Triaxis.
As you can see, I just start to get confused with all this digital MIDI stuff.

guitar patch cables are just short shielded instrument cables.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Ok HippieTim! Thanks. I'll just use patch cables that I have. I never had to take the ones I have apart, so I didn't know if they were shielded or not.
