  • Guitar polish for Lacquer Finish

Looking for a good guitar polish for Lacquer finishes? Just got a older guitar and I am trying to bring the finish back some on this one.

    Thanks

I recall reading that T-Cut car polish does it. But don't try that till more people reply! I never tried it myself.

Virtuoso cleaner, then Virtuoso polish. Best stuff on the planet IMO. I learned about it on the Les Paul forum. They really raved about it. I got some and cleaned up a bunch of old nitro finished guitars I had. Then I got a new '57 LP Reissue Gold Top VOS. I used the cleaner to get rid of all the gummy stuff Gibson uses to make the finish hazy. Many on the LP Forum had done the same thing. I use it on everything. I found many shops stock the stuff including GC, or you can buy it on line. Just killer stuff and I have used just about everything.

Let us know your results. I don't work for them, but I wish they sold shares. They make an excellent product for cleaning up Nitro and Poly finished guitars. It's gentle enough on old lacquer finishes and gets the job done!
