  • quick connect pickups

    are these easy to install? who all makes them, looking for a good metal with good high's and low bottom end. thinking I might go passive. Thanks!

    EMG and the Seymour duncan blackouts are the ones I know of. they install the same as anyother pickup, it is just easier to swap them out after that. The EMG HZs are the only passive ones I know of but I am sure there is more.

      you cant take them out from the top of the guitar and just plug them in?

        You have to install the quick connect cables first. then you can change them from the top of the guitar.

                thanks for the help! just wanted to see if there is any easier way to put pickups in.the hz's dont have much bit but i found a boss metal zone and it brings more bite and harmonics to the sound,but its a tight sound but pretty nice.

                  EMG 81 are supposed to deliver a really tight sound if thats what you are into.

                        I've got HZs (not sure which model - 3s I think) with the AfterBurner and the sound isn't bad at all.
                        I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
