  • Weber MASS 150W

Anyone have experience with this particular model? https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/mass150.htm
I ordered this unit 2 weeks ago, but only now I realize it's not like the 25-50-100W MASS models. It has less tone controls, and on the site they say it's 8ohm, and usable on 4, 8 or 16 ohm heads.
My speaker cab is 16 ohm, so will I be able to use it safely?
They already shipped it so it would suck if I wouldn't be able to use it

I don't know but I was interested in a few models and sent an email to Ted Weber and even called and left a message and no answer. Still not sure which model would be ideal/necessary for me as I am just wanting it for a dummy load so I can record with my SS amp or my Hot Rod Deville tube amp and run it through a PDI-09 direct box.

I got the same model as yours except it is a 100 watts version. The best investment I have done in a long time. I also use it with a 16 ohms cab with my DSL50. No problem at all. I emailed the guy at weber a few times. he answered very quickly all my emails (even the most stupid ones).

Use it with no worries my friend. I bet that after a few days of using it, you'll wonder why you did not buy one earlier. Rock on!

I sent them a mail. The 100W version is different from the 150W, the latter doesn't have a switch for the impendance that's what's worrying me

I don't have any switch on mine? This is the model I have:

Well I just got it and it works fine for moderate volumes (master vol at 50-60% and channel vol at 50% on the Uberschall) but when I turn the master vol all the way up it sounds like crap. Very flubby, almost no gain and I hear a cracking noise every time I palm mute
Could this be caused by impendance mismatch?
