The custom-wound pickups done for the Charvel EVH series.

I've heard Dimarzio Evos sound good in basswood, too, but only have mine in alder-bodied guitars.

EMG 81 isn't bad either. J-90c's rock! I would love to try a Duncan Distortion in one of my Model 2's though.

          SD Custom Custom.
I have one in my RG 560 and it kills.

J50B(c?) in my Fusion Pro is my favorite.

            Also good are EMG81, J90C, ....

Might be easier to ask which pickup doesn't work in Basswood.

Those guitars have the greatest pickup!

DiMarzio Norton. Had them in two Model 3a's and they both sounded great. The lows were tight with plenty of mids, and the highs sounder great. Not tinny or the "ice pick to the back of the skull" highs.

DiMarzio Breed Perfect in a basswood guitar. A very balanced pickup with lows, mids and just enough high's to cut it! I have them in 3 guitars right now.

Duncan Metal Livewire. Also any DiMarzio wit mid output sounds great.

I haven´t had a basswood guitar for years, but I seem to remember that I liked a Screamin´Demon in the last one I had. It helped roll back the typical basswood mids and gave it a bit more edge and cut.
