  • recomended duncan for a charvel?

    alder body charvel strat with floyd,
    looking for a high output duncan that is good for a old vanhalenish tone in alder?
    custom custom?
    JB ?
    If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!

            I have the JB in my Soloist and it sounds fecking brilliant, I'd go for that. I also have a Custom in my RR3 and a Custom 5 in my Epi SG (I'm a Duncan fan!) and both of those sound good in those guitars. But I don't think the JB can be beat.

              I have a SEYMOUR DUNCAN JBJ from the 80's
              supposedly 16K

              There are several stories about the pick-up with the "JBJ sticker"

                      i agree. I've had a JB loaded soloist since September, and I've been very happy with it.

                      Yes, it can be bright, but you can control the brightness with playing technique / palm muting.
