  • String stuck in saddle?

Well my Soloist Pro came in the mail today, and It was desperetly in need of new strings. So I started unstringing the guitar, and the high E string happens to be stuck in the saddle, I unlocked/loosened the appropriate things to take the string out of the saddle, but the E string just doesn't want to come out?...

I'm not sure if I should just pull with extreme force, because I don't want to damage anything..

    Any solution anyone?

Loosen the screw completely, and tap something skinny in there, between the saddle and the block.
    I use an old dart.
    Small screwdriver can work also.
    Gentle firmness is the secret.
Chances are, the block may be cracked, and has locked/corroded in place.
    No big deal.
    Work carefully, but with authority.
