  • How much for a fret level and polish?

A local shop quoted me $100 to level and polish the frets and set up my Charvel 475 deluxe. Does this seem like a fair price as I have never had this done before?

A bit high for me. I charge 75.00, including strings.

60 bucks over here in Turkey. And if something is cheaper in here you are on the wrong way.

A full setup with polish and level ran me $58 bucks last time I had it done.

If it includes a crowing does that make the price a little better? I'll have to ask him to be sure.

Dang these are some cheap prices, the last two I had done were well over $100, and that was from two different shops.

$100 is not unreasonable for a good job.

Fret-changes cost about 100 dollars here.

Something rare, which costs cheaper here than in the US

I charged $75 back in the late 90's so $100 seems more than fair these days for a reputable professional. Ask to see some of their work as there are a lot of hacks who try to do this stuff to pocket a few extra bucks instead farming it out to someone qualified to do the work.
