  • Hum (electrolytic capaciters dying?) from amp.

I've had a Marshall tube amp that I blew a speaker on around five years ago. After just having a new speaker put in it works great, except for the fact that I now get a hum from the amp as soon as 'stand by' is turned off, but not when I immediately power it up. This hum is not super loud, but it is present when I don't even have a guitar plugged into the amp. I've tried moving the amp to different outlets and everything, but the hum won't go away. I've heard this might be due to the electrolytic capacitors getting old.. Any other ideas? Thanks.
