  • Neck pocket angled or the neck base?

Does anyone here know if it is the neckpocket or the base of the neck that is angled on the USA Charvels with non recessed floyds? I have taken one of my Charvel Standard series apart and to me it looks like the pocket is flush and it is the neck that is angled. Anybody know for sure?

Don't know for sure, but if there is not a shim in there, chances are they routed a 10 degree bevel. You can check with a small square or drafting triangle. You only need the neck pocket angled or shimmed on Top mount Floyd's. Sometimes you can get away without a shim if your action is set low enough.
