  • EMG wiring diagram

Hey, any one know of a good emg wiring diagram? I went to emg's web site and they don't have what I need. I have 2 emg 81s, 1 volume, 2 tones and a 3 way blade which, and dose any one know what kind of capacitor I need, I was talking to a friend and he said that I need 2 capacitors on each of the tone pots? any one know anything about this?

    Thanks.

Why not wire it for two vol and 1 master tone?
You need 1 cap per tone 104K 100V.
You do have the proper pots right? You can't use standard 500k pots with active pickups.Stereo input jack too.

I got 250k pots and the jack is the right one too.
Is wiring it for 2 volumes and 1 tone easier?

      Thanks.

25K pots are needed to work with EMG's.

+1. 25k is correct. Yeah its very simple just go to guitarelectronics.com scroll down the list for your application.
The EMG site should have this diagram.

Also, if you contact EMG, they will send you a diagram. They have a huge library and not all of them are on the website.

save this link, you'll never need to ask for an EMG diagram again.

Hey mods, why don't you put this link in a sticky?
