  • Sweep Picking...how?

    for the bottom notes of each sweep eg 14..12..14...14...
    is it a down pick or up pick??
    having troubles please help!!

    I think the easiest way to play that is, pull off on the highest note of the high E string to the lower note that needs to be played then carry on sweeping as usual.

            I think it's better for your wrist to get used to the movement if the up-swept notes and the down-swept ntoes are the same in number.

              PRACTICE IT BOTH WAYS! I couldn't stress this any more [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] cause there is no better way to perfect this technique. cause its all about changing direction clean and smoothly.and i'd have to agree with steve on the hammer and pull on the highest note.try picking it to,and counting it all in triplets.also try (recomended)sweeping down the first 3 notes and legato the last 3, and once again practice that first note with a down AND an up stroke, cause like i said its all about direction baby........which way ya goin [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

                Can someone recommend me an excercise to start learning to sweap with?

                Or is this a good place to start ?
